Veracruz, Mexico, the teams that will be part of the upcoming 2019 International FXC Championship, in Boca del Rio, Veracruz (Mexico) on Nov. 23rd and 24th have been announced. They are 13 in total.
Out of the 13 teams, 10 will compete in the club category and 3 in the International. In the former the five clubs from the Mexican state of Veracruz: Los Krakens, Los Toros, Los Capitanes de Boca del Rio, de Xalapa and de Orizaba will measure themselves against each other and the 5 teams from the states of Michoacan, Queretaro and Mexico City, and by the DC Falcons.

If the breathtaking finals between Mexico and Spain during the 1st International FXC Tournament (held in Italy in October 2018) and between The Capitanes de Boca del Rio and the Capitanes de Xalapa during the 1st Mexican competition in Veracruz (March 2019) are an indication of what's to come, we better brace ourselves for an high-octane championship, full of surprises and twists.

The participants will compete in 2 categories: an “Open” category open to any FXC registered club and the International. The former will follow the rules of a double elimination system, while in the latter the nation scoring the highest number of points, adding the results of all their matches, will be crowned winner.

According to the statistics gathered so far, the best three teams to beat are the Capitanes de Xalapa, the Capitanes de Boca del Rio and the Krakens that share 3rd place with Los Toros. Winners of the first and second Mexican competitions the Capitanes de Xalapa showed the biggest margin of improvement being the first team to pass the “500-point mark” during 4 matches in 1 day. Will the competition be able to catch up? Will the Americans be able to break their supremacy? Who’s going to be the underdog to cheer for?
